K2 ALCHEMIST 2027

The Alchemist is the most demanding board in K2's range and makes no secret of who it is for: an advanced rider who goes fast, actually carves, and does not want the board moving underfoot.

The profile is directional camber, running from ahead of the front foot through to the tail with a slight early rise in the nose. That gives it edge hold you rarely find on hardpack while still floating in fresh snow without burning your back leg, thanks to the tapered tail.

Inside sits K2's S1 Pro core: paulownia in the tips to keep the weight down, bamboo tip to tail to damp vibration, and aspen underfoot for pop. Add the carbon inserts in the tail, which return energy as you come out of a turn, and the aerospace fibreglass in the nose, which is what kills chatter at speed. The core is also CNC-milled at nose and tail (Recess3D), removing material where it does no work, so swing weight drops without the edge losing structure.

The base is a wax-infused sintered 4001, among the fastest available and among the best at holding wax between services.
