The Salsa is the boot most people end up buying, because it gets the middle ground right. Zonal dual BOA: one dial for the forefoot, one for the cuff, so you can fix the fit with gloves on and without stopping.

Vibram outsole over a dampening midsole, an injected toe cap and an internal ankle harness that holds the heel where it belongs. The P2 liner is heat-moldable, so it can be shaped to your foot in the shop before you ever ride them. Flex 6, all-mountain in the real sense.
