Burton's goal with the Genesis was to build the most comfortable binding ever, with power that stands up to the rigours of their team riders. With a slightly softer flex, it combines anatomical elements that smooth and cushion the overall riding experience, while the latest breakthroughs in highback and strap design wrap and cradle your boots in complete suspension.

Highback

The two-piece, heel-hugging Kickback Hammock Hi-Back is literally suspension in a hi-back. Dynamic interaction between an internal spring and rubber over-moulded hammock results in increased response and reduced vibration while your heel is cradled in complete suspension. The ergonomic Canted Hi-Back follows the natural contours of your left and right legs to maximise control and comfort. Riders who prefer a more playful and relaxed feel will dig the Zero Forward Lean on select highbacks. As always, you can still choose to crank ‘em forward for quicker control when carving or climbing icy pipe walls. For mind-blowing micro-adjustability, the MicroFLAD® system gives you twice the options of the traditional FLAD.

Baseplate

Re:Flex® offers more flex and board feel than traditional disc bindings. The minimised, cored baseplate reduces weight and expands the cushioning potential. A Single-Component Baseplate construction throughout creates a consistent response and feel for all-terrain domination. The 30 % Short-Glass/Nylon Composite material is slightly more responsive and still plenty playful. The Re:Flex AutoCANT FullBED Cushioning System with B3 Gel automatically settles your boot into a natural position regardless of stance width or angles for improved comfort, reduced fatigue, and more direct board control.

Straps

The Hammockstrap® is the absolute favourite of the Burton team, light, comfortable and still flexible at low temperatures. The minimalist design of the Supergrip Capstrap® 2.0 merges two materials into one technologically advanced toe strap. A firmer material in the spine provides a supportive and lightweight skeleton, while a softer over-moulded material improves boot wrap and comfort. The Flex Slider makes strapping in a breeze with a strategically stretched hinging zone that allows the heel strap to flex and fall fully open. Be the first to drop in with the rapid ratcheting of Burton’s Double Take Buckles. Helical teeth and “Insta-Click” engagement combine for increased torque per crank, faster uptake, and fewer cranks to tightness. The result: vastly improved strength, speed, and ease-of-use.
